Launching this summer.
NBA Playgrounds 2 has been announced and it’s launching this summer.
The sequel from developer Saber Interactive will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Per PlayStation Blog, NBA Playgrounds 2 will improve upon the first game in a variety of ways. This includes the new Playgrounds Championship online mode and a worldwide online league featuring several divisions to climb.
Players will know how they stack up against their opponents online and will acquire skills as they progress, with both co-op and solo leagues featured. Additionally, the game will include dedicated severs and four-player online games.
On the single-player side of things, the new Season Mode will see you take your team through a season, the playoffs, and the NBA Championship. You’ll also collect special players depending on the team you choose to play with.
The sequel will have over 200 NBA players, both current and retired, to collect. You can also look forward to new player models, animations and facial animations, improved AI, new original music, and new gameplay mechanics like double alley-oops.
